On Sunday, we enter into one of the most sacred times of our liturgical year. It is the time when we can reflect upon the great passion of our Lord: to save us from our sins and give us new life and hope. How this can work for our present situation is going to be a true work of faith. It means that we are going to have to look beyond our fears and trust what God has in store for us. We have been too easily given too much comfort that distracts us from what is truly important in our life.
As we enter into this week, let us ask ourselves if we have discovered something in our lives that we really need to change. Has this lent made any difference since we entered into the darkness of this pandemic virus? Whatever that lesson is let us take it to the Holy Week experience that will help us to die to the sin and return to the Lord’s ways.
I pray for all of you and I hope you will pray for me as we make this commitment that will change us.
I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you. Whether you have supported us monetarily or in prayer during these struggling times, it is greatly appreciated. Please continue to pray and if you are able to make a contribution you can do so; by online giving below or mail your donation to the parish office. Fr. Ken
